New for SS23: Fjallraven
March is a month of newness at infaant. Alongside our new Leeds store, we will be launching a whole host of new brands, a curated assortment of kids & family brands that each echo our own stance on quality, and are leading the way in a more sustainable approach to fashion. In this search for new brands we have inevitably found ourselves at the doorstep of the outdoor and sports world, with brands that are built on these pillars to provide products that withstand the most extreme of environments. If a product is made for trekking mountain ranges and deep forest, then no doubt it makes a good choice for the commute, travel or the playground, right?
Fjallraven is a brand that we at infaant have bought ourselves for some time. Over many years a Fjallraven Kanken has been called on for work, holidays and in more recent years a handy backpack for parenting and schoolbags. The very first Kanken backpack was actually developed by founder Ake Nordin as a schoolbag alternative to support young backs with heavy loads of school kit. Today, the brand has broadened its offer, offering a multitude of Kanken bags each with varying benefits for its specific user - the Kanken Totepack, Kanken Mini, even a Kanken Pen Case, each made with the same quality and attention to detail that has made the Fjallraven brand a go-to for many.
Our first delivery of Fjallraven is now live on-site, with a full collection of bags and accessories, plus a dedicated kids clothing range - each item made with 100% organic cotton or recycled fabrics.
A favourite pick for us this season? Well, we love the Fjallraven Re:Kanken range, a selection of bags that are made from an entirely recycled, and recyclable, Polyester - each backpack made from 11 recycled plastic bottles. Clever stuff. The Re:Kanken range is then coloured (of course) with SpinDye Technology which dramatically reduces the amount of water, energy and chemicals of the normal dyeing process, all whilst maintaining the unique benefits of the broader range - water resistant and quick drying fabric. The perfect school bag? Possibly.
